Ko Kut, Thailand
During August Alex spent some time on the island of Ko-Kut. A largely undeveloped island in the Trat Province in the Gulf of Thailand and the eastern most island before Cambodia. Shot with a loose 'back to basics' feel using the Leica M9, no flash, no large camera system. Due to the versatile nature of the camera and photographic style, the people responded well, it shows in the shots. Alex spent time with a local guide, an islander who took him off the beaten track and introduced him to his community. This included the fishing villages of Ao Salad and Ao Yai. The school and children of Ao Phrao also provided a fantastic setting for some of the shots. Awards IPA Honourable Mention
